Hi, my name is Jackie!
A born and bred city girl who has grown to love the outdoors and wild remote places. This is a space where I share my experiences and discoveries of a simple life in the modern world.
In 2019, my husband and I embarked on a six-month overland journey from Cape Town to Malawi and back. We drove over 25 000 kilometers, visited 6 countries while living in our Land Rover Defender.
If there is one thing our journey taught me, it’s that once you need less you will have more.
Today my mission is to escape the fast-paced and complex life in the city as often as I can to go and be in the outdoors. Come with me on my journey to see the best campsites, wildlife reserves, and experiences southern Africa has to offer.
