When I think about Namibia, I see wide open spaces, endless gravel roads and extreme landscapes. It’s the perfect country to visit if I want to get away from it all.
We spent a full month exploring Namibia from the south to the north, and there is still so much left to see.
We started our journey in the south visiting the deserted town of Kolmanskop and camped at beautiful campsites such as Klein Aus Vista and Namtib.
Namibia is such a diverse country where you are surrounded by widlife. We saw the wild horses in the south near Aus, the free-roaming desert elephants and lions in the north, and in between, we visited incredible wildlife reserves such as the Namib Naukluft Park and Etosha. Our journey to Namibia wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t make a stop at Sossusvlei, where we saw some of the world’s highest sand dunes.
Next, we headed north to Etosha and en route made a stopover at Spitzkoppe, which was another once in a lifetime camping experience.
I will always come back to Namibia as it offers some of the best camping experiences in Africa, it caters for overland travel and offers endless adventures. It’s the perfect road trip country!
